Captain Scott McDaniels and crew along with 30 friends / customers had a great time on the Father's day trip. The catch of 115 Yellowtail was caught on a 1.5 day trip about 116 miles South of Point Loma. Kelp pattie hooping was the name of the game on this trip. The Sea Adventure 80 worked South with crewmen Bobbie, Gavin, and Justin in the crows nest. Regular shouts of 1 O-clock Skipper or over at 10 O-clock would get the fishermen scrambling for another shot at a hook-up or two. The food was great we all enjoyed a nice steak dinner cooked by chef Nick. Captain Paul Pennello drove the boat all night down to the fishing grounds and put us near some great fishing. The fish today were from 8 to 12 pounds on the average with the Jackpot being 30 pounds. Sardines and Anchovy were the bait of choice and plenty we had. Good thing because these early June trips give the angles from sun up to sun down fishing time. We have lots of great trips on the real Sea Adventure 80 this summer and we are looking forward to fantastic fishing. Make your reservations with THE REAL SEA ADVENTURE 80 at H&M Landing soon. Thank you Captain Scott McDaniels

What a great day of fishing aboard the Shogun for all aboard. We spent the day looking for Blue Fin off shore. The day started out slow but ended in a bang. We had two really good stops one for around 70 and the other stop kicked out around 60 of these beautiful grade Blue Fin. Several fish around 60 lbs with the bulk of the fish around 30-50 lbs. These fish were not line shy at all eager to take baits fly lined on 80 lb test. We are going to send the night here on the Blue fin grounds and give it a try tomorrow. From the Shogun crew tight lines as usual we will let you guy know tomorrow how we did take care

Hello everyone; Not much to report, we had another tough day on the Royal Polaris. We saw lots of fish, they just didn't bite, and then the one's that did bite, we had to let those go and grow. Lot's of Yellowtail on kelps, but they need to grow some. We are now headed for Alijos rocks. We will arrive in the early morning hours, so wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our events. The R/p crew
Hello again from the independence. After a quick turn around Saturday we departed on the big fish tackle 8 day. With a good supply of sardines we were on our way. we had the usual tackle seminar, followed by another huge tackle raffle , cal star, okuma,Sabre hats and shirts, jigs, eagle claw hooks, we rolled down to the offshore grounds only to find that things had changed a little bit, mainly in the weather dept. we did see little bits here and there, and one good school, but the weather was far from perfect. We did manage 9 of those beauties and a few yellowtail for our efforts. Not the start we had hoped for, but there is still time. We are going to give it another try before the weather really kicks up. Thanks for checking in, and wish us luck, Jeff and the Indy crew, Paul, Jesus, Kevin, Oscar, Doug, Ed and Rolf "aka Rolls"
We metered a school of Bluefin around 5am this morning and shut down on them. It took a little while for them to get back under us, but around 0530 they did and we hooked our first for the day. The morning was best and then our bite turned into a slow plunker for the rest of the day. We had 3 anglers catch their first ever Bluefin today and seeing the smiles on their faces is what makes this job so rewarding. Our Tuna today were mostly in the 25-35 lb. range with 1 around 45 lbs. To start our trip with another all day drift, fish boiling around, and everyone just having a good time is sweet to say the least. It wasn't a ripper or any big numbers, but a fun day anyhow. All this took place 155 miles from the point, so there is definitely some Bluefin making their way into the local zone closer to home. We are rolling down a little ways tonight to try another area tomorrow. Wish us Luck. "The Intrepid Team"
We had a great start to our trip today as the Bluefin tuna cooperated and came aboard all afternoon. The stop started with about twenty very quickly then settled into a classic plunker with one or two going. The fish ranged from 25 to 65 pounds. By the end of the day we managed to put about four a round into the RSW tank. Brian
