 Fish with the legendary Don Brockman and Cpt. Norris The Cat Tapp and long-time "regulars" from the "Freelance" and others. The group has had a lot of fun, in addition to "getting the job done at the rail". This is our 14th consecutive, annual trip between the "Islander" and "Independence". The trips have all been outstanding. Both Mark Paesano and Paul Strasser have been on the boat for most of these trips and with the combined effort and expertise of the 2 of them, we've come away with LOTS O' FISH!
Date: Depart Wed, Sep 3rd - AM Return Mon., Sep 8th - AM
Cost: $1895 + Fuel Surcharge ($125)

The Westerly charter boat out of Pierpoint Landing will be running 2 day open party trips leaving every Tuesday night. Trips are limited to 15 anglers and it only takes 12 to get off the dock. This weekend is open PRIME TIME" is a superb, top quality 50' sportfisher, operated by a veteran professional sportfishing captain. This fine yacht is ideal for discrete groups of six or less, fishing the offshore waters of San Diego. Trips vary from half day local kelp fishing trips, targeting such species as Bonita, Barracuda, Calico Bass, Sand Bass, White Sea bass, Yellowtail and Halibut, to fishing one or one and a half days at the Coronado Islands. The Coronado trips offer a more exotic locale with a more bountiful and varied catch. Summer fishing is primarily offshore, ranging from 45-80 miles, predominantly into Mexican waters. Targeted species would include Albacore Tuna and Bluefin Tuna in the early summer; Yellowfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna and occasionally Dorado in the late summer. Large Yellowtail are also targeted on offshore kelp paddies. Late summer and fall will bring Striped Marlin into the local San Diego waters.
