Started off this morning looking for the bluefin. We saw one good school but never got a chance at them. Then we went to Catalina and tried just about everything we could possibly do to get the sea lions to let us fish. Ended with 1 yellowtail for 3 hooked. Some short bass thrown back and some bottom fish for those who wanted them. We did see a very good sign of fish. Almost every stop today we had seen yellowtail at almost every stop today. Lots of fish boiling around but very hard to get it to bite through the seals.

We are out every day either fishing a new part of Catalina or going offshore for bluefin.
